Henry Richmond (bishop)

The Rt Rev Francis Henry Arthur Richmond was the third Bishop of Repton from 1985 to 1999;[1] and from then on an  Assistant Bishop within the Diocese of Oxford. He was born on 6 January 1936 and educated at Trinity College, Dublin.[2] Ordained in 1964, he began his career with a curacy at Woodlands, in Yorkshire.

[3] after which he was: a Chaplain at Sheffield Cathedral; Vicar of St George's, Sheffield[4] (during which time he was also a University Chaplain [5]); and finally, before his elevation to the Episcopate,[6] Warden of Lincoln Theological College. After 14 years as the Derby Suffragan he retired to Oxford in 1999.
